*Rewind* Christmas

Sticking to the rotating schedule, we spent Christmas in Camp Verde this year. The weekend started with Ben and Caitlin receiving their endowments the Saturday before Christmas. It was so special to be in the Temple with all my siblings, and so sweet to see Ben so happy. (Thanks Caitlin)

Throughout this last year all my brothers, except Ben, have moved out of Arizona. So it was so much fun to hang out and catch up. Ryley, Ben and Olivia got to see their cousins (Jake and Deanne's kids) who are so close in age. For having six kids, under the age of five, in one house, for four nights, they did really well. The weather was really nice, so we did get to go to the park and stretch our legs some.

Yes, Ryley is wearing Fiona ears.

Christmas Eve we always celebrate my Dad's birthday, it is the 25Th, but we added a little Christmas program with the story out of Luke 2 and some Hymns. Isaac, my 4yr nephew, gave a sweet solo of 'Picture A Christmas' as well.

We had told Ryley that she could open one present on Christmas Eve. She had been guessing for weeks what it was and was pretty excited. I realized when I saw the expression on her face that I should have explained things... It is a Miller tradition that we get new PJ's every year and that is the gift that we open. Ryley was devastated that it was "clothes" and not a toy from Santa. She felt gypped, and rightly so. I explained that it was my fault and we let her open the family gift from Grandma and Grandpa Mayberry, which was a huge hit! (Marble Run)

She's so excited!

Wait for it...

Look at the sheer disappointment

(I thought the fact that they had no Pj's on would have given it away)

All in all we had a fabulous Christmas. The kids are getting older and so the whole Santa thing is more exciting. It was so great to hang with my brothers and their cute wives and my parents were great hosts for the chaos. Here are some pics of the kids Christmas morning. (I was the crappy photographer here, I'll post more pics when I get the good ones from my SIL Lori.)

The pictures of Ryley's disappointment were funny. Nice job on the Christmas Recap.

That is hilarious about Ryley. And for all those kids being at your parents' house, it was pretty good. It was the ADULTS that were about to going on homicidal rampages.

Looks like you had a great Christmas. It was good to see you that day. It's really crazy how our lives have taken shape. It's been fun though.
