Having moved to Texas we were bound to end up at a Rodeo sooner or later. They don't mess around here, the Rodeo goes on for almost three weeks and they go all out. They have tons of concerts, petting zoos and a carnival. San Antonio tends to be pretty military friendly, so on Friday's all military get into the carnival for free and the rides, soda, hot dogs and cotton candy are only a dollar. Who could pass that up?! Kev and I were completely creeped out by the lovely carnie workers but the kids had a blast.
Hanging out in the "All About Horses" Tent
Benjamin was so excited to go on a "big" ride...
until it started moving and then he wasn't so sure. Ryley, of course, rode it twice.
Here is Olivia thinking she is going to get to go on the ride...
and here she is when she realized it wasn't going to happen. So sad.
Just cruising through the carnival trying to avoid the creepy men who want you to throw your money away on all the games.
Uncle Dave (Kev's brother) happened to be in town the same weekend, so we met up down town by the River Walk for dinner. We waited a ridiculous amount of time to eat at this Mexican Food restaurant that wasn't worth the wait. But we had a great time hanging with Dave and the kids had a fabulous time running him ragged.

Ahhh rodeos. I really liked them! The kids looked like they had fun, and they are getting so big! Is that Ryley first tooth to lose in the last picture? Great pic of Olivia!
Wait, since when does Kevin wear Jeans?
I'm not surprised at all that Ryley loves all of the rides. That girl has always been a dare devil.
Ben is brave for doing the pirate ship at three years old. Kevin looks pretty trim in those jeans. Talk about good prices for the carnival.
that looks like fun! Sort of reminds me of the last fort verde days we went to. carnies creep me out too! But I love a good rodeo. We'll have to go this year. But we bake on those bleachers in July!
