A Date to Remember

Much to my surprise, Kevin remembered the 9th anniversary of our first date. I say this because I don't ever really remember it. And I've said this before but Kevin and I don't really do much for our birthdays or anniversaries.

He really wanted to take me to Wicked (I've been wanting to see it for a couple years) and tried to surprise me but I spoiled it. Plus, the tickets were ridiculously expensive for decent seats and sold out of the cheap seats. We found out that they do a lottery every night of the show. All we had to do was arrive at the box office by 6pm(I towed all four kids downtown at 4:45pm) to put our names in the drawing. Then at 6pm they drew names for twenty tickets and if our name was one of them, then we could buy the ticket(s) for only $25 each! Anyone who can write their name could enter, so both Ben and Ryley got to be in the drawing as well. We were ecstatic when they pulled out Ben's name. He was jumping around saying, "I won, I won!"

Needless to say it was AMAZING! And the seats were great, three rows from the stage on the righthand side. Kevin even enjoyed it, a lot. But shhh, don't tell him I told you that. We had an amazing night, our first date since moving to Texas. So if you are wanting to see it check their website and see if it is coming near you. They do the lottery for all Broadway shows on the road. If you go when the show first comes to town it is easier to get drawn from the lottery because not many people know about it.

I'm so glad that you got to see it!! It is amazing!! Kevin can be assured knowing that every guy I've ever talked to has loved it. Our friends have done the lottery for it like 7 times.

Yayayayayayay! I'm glad you got to go! And I wish I could see Ben jumping around. Do you think he'd re-enact that moment when I come to visit in August?

P.S. Newsies is kinda sorta lame, Lacy. I know. I had to watch it. Once.
