The End of Harry Potter

So I have finally finished reading the seven book series and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Having read all seven books in a row I admit that I totally OCD on Harry Potter. Not only had my house suffered but now I find myself in Harry withdrawals. The only thing I can come up with is that I feel the ending was weak. There was so much detail throughout the series and I needed more in the way of an ending. I get that she leaves it up to the reader to make their own way of it in the end but I needed more closure after the big scene. I want another chapter before the reflection on the future. But what can you do though? I'll just have to venture into other books now. Don't get me wrong, Ms. Rowling is a brilliant writer, and I did extremely enjoy the series.

This is where I require the help of my fellow readers. As I mentioned before, I haven't read a whole lot since Kev and I have been married and this has definitely sparked my reading interest. I need direction now. Besides the Harry Potter series, I've read "Five People you Meet in Heaven" and "Tuesday's with Morrie", which I also liked. Please feel free to suggest some new titles that may peek my interest.

It is funny you said Harry Potter withdrawals. It is so true you wish it would just go on and on. Jake and I really liked Eragon and Eldest and a third book is supposed to come out later. The book is tons better than the movie and alot different. Jake listened to Eragon on CD from the library and is now listening to Eldest on his drive to and from work. It might be fun to listened to on the way to Camp Verde if the kids cooperate! :) Anyways great reads and should be at your local library. Also I got a book called Bella at Midnight from the kids section and it was such a cute book.

Ok, I just finished the best book. Everyone has been talking about it and I finally sat down to read it. It's called Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. She's a mormon author from Phoenix. I started it Sunday night and then finished it Monday. It's 500 pages, but once you start, you can't put it down. I was even reading it while I was driving to work and during my lunch break. There are two more in the series that I have to borrow now. Anyways...you will love it!!!

Hi there, you don't know me but I followed a link from Heidi's blog and found you. Then I saw you have a link to Jenn & Sam Adair's blog, which is funny because we are friends with them as well. They came over on friday with the kids and we had dinner with them. So nice to see them before they head back to India again. Anyway, so you don't know me but apparently we know some of the same people. I have a post on my blog about books I've read and liked this year. I would particularly recommend "Life of Pi" though, very, very good!

Hey Katie,

This is Caitlin's sister, Sarah. Thanks for commenting on my blog. Actually to be quite honest, I have been on your blog before. Caitlin wanted me to see pictures of the family at Sam's wedding and of course to see your cute kids. I've heard so much about Ryley, "little" Ben and Olivia from Ben and Caitlin. I know Ben will be an awesome dad as I watch him with my girls. From the minute I met him he was helping me unload and load the kids in their car seats. He immediately takes the baby from me and holds her. He doesn't ever care when she spits up all over him. He is great and we couldn't be happier. I am looking forward to meeting you and the rest of Ben's family. Our kids will have fun with each other too. Have a great day!!!

Well, Sarah told me to check out your blog. This is Sarah's and Caitlin's mom. I can hardly wait to meet you and your sweet little family. I told Sarah today that we are going to have another girl in the family when Ben and Caitlin get married. I guess the sister in laws count too. The more the merrier, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for being a great sister to Ben ....we love him.

I love how at the bottom of this comment section it says: choose your identity...

*Other

I think I choose Other... Perfect mom of two, clean house, lots of money to spend... and every other imperfection I have.
lol!

Anyhow, park day tomorrow... You should come! (9:30ish or most likely 10am for most of us!)
