Okay so I haven't had one of these since I had roommates and was single. And boy can I say I miss them after tonight. So we had this lovely little Relief Society activity where everyone brought a dish to eat, there were simple crafts to participate in and of course all the time needed for chatting. (The reasoning for the event was visiting teaching interviews) As the night progressed the brilliant idea that the "girls" night should carry over to a movie came up. We spread the word and invited all. Eight of us were able to ditch our family responsibilities and we were off. We all piled in the Suburban (thanks again Marti and Ralph) and headed to the cheap theater for our movie. We were so sad to discover that we were mistaken on the time of the actual show. But we were not going to give up that easy, we decided to splurge and go to a regular theater, after all it was 9:45 at night, we had no kids and couldn't head for home just yet.
We decided to see Dan in Real Life. I have to admit that this is one of the best movies I've seen. I was a little leery going into the film but very happy with the out come. If you haven't seen it yet it is a must!

I think that we're going to make this "Girl's Night" a monthly thing. How fun!

Hey, where was I? Count me in next time!
Good idea! We used to do this in my last ward and it was great! Of course I don't have kids to run away from, but I always looked forward to it.
