We went and picked up the newest member of our family today. Kevin has only been begging me for seven years to get a dog. Maybe it is the upcoming move or the fact that I'm a little baby hungry but it just seemed like now was the right time for a puppy to join us.
She is a German Shepard Dog that is 6 weeks old. We found her across town at a home that had too many puppies. (Don't worry it wasn't a puppy mill) They are very well tempered dogs and extremely good with children. A lot of training is involved to get the above mentioned things but we're up for the task.
When Kev and I starting having children we decided that I had the final say on the baby names and that he could name the dogs. Kev has decided to name her Tillman, but since that is not enough of a girl's name for Ryley, we'll call her Tilly for short. A million thanks to Grandpa Bill and Grandma Lyn for wrestling our kids (Ben and Olivia didn't even nap, so they were all in rare form). It wouldn't have been possible without them!

Adorable!! Now I totally have puppy fever, thanks!
I'm so sorry to hear that you've LOST YOUR MIND!!! No, really, have fun. Ranger was 6 wks. when we got him and he was so cute and adorable...now 3 years later he's 150 lbs., and I wouldn't use cute as a word to describe him! Enjoy the puppy stage! Also, for your own sanity go to Petco and buy a spray product called bitter apple...it's a non-toxic spray that we used on the kids toys, our shoes, table corners...and even on the kids arms to discourage the dog from chewing. Any questions? I'm an e-mail away!
Katie,
I was freaking out, I thought you were pregnant again. First, I thought how unfair that you still look so tiny and you already are far enough along to find out the sex of your baby. How fun for you kids? Good luck to you!!!! ha ha ha
Cute puppy, your pretty brace consifering the drive you are about to take. Good luck!
I love her and I haven't even met her yet! I'm beginning to think you got her on purpose so you could lure us down to Marana, mattresses and all. I knew that was your plan!
I am so excited! Paisley finally has a cousin. It is going to be great to have someone else in the family with a dog. Take more pics. I want to see them.
It really is a day to go down in history when Katie caves in to a puppy! Congrats! Are you keeping him outside? We'll have to bring Deacon up for a puppy play date! :)
Kevin ceded the final say on baby names to you huh...impressive....I doubt I could ever cede the same to my future wife.....I have too many I like.....
Very cute dog! Good luck with everything! Since Kevin got to name her maybe he can be the one to take care of her. She is a very pretty dog.
OK, the last comment from us was from Nate and I wanted to put in my 2 cents.
She's so cute! Make sure you take tons of pictures because they grow so stinkin fast. How's it going so far? The first few weeks can be the hardest and you wonder why the heck you actually signed up for this. After that though, you can't imagine life without them. I guess its kind of like a child. I wouldn't know though...
cute!
