O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

I was so thrilled that this year we would live somewhere that we could cut our own Christmas tree. We headed out to this little farm to scout out the perfect one. It was freezing but the kids enjoyed getting out and running around. They didn't have the trees I like growing (they were pre cut and shipped in from the mountains) and the kids insisted on cutting one down. So we settled on one that would do and chopped away! This is definitly a family tradition we'll keep going. Sadly it didn't smell yummy like the past live trees that we've had but what can you do?!

Here are the different choices of trees...

The lucky winner,

and here are the kids decorating it.

We had a great time making this a family tradition. Maybe next year I can convince everyone else to head to the mountains and cut a Frasier Fir.

Ben and Cait make eight!

It looks like you had a fun Christmas. I'm glad that you got a real tree, they're the best. I can remember cutting trees when I was a kid, it always made Christmas more real.

We got a Frasier Fir but apparently you guys always had Blue Spruce as children and thats what Nate wants. They were a bit more expensive so we opted out ot that this year. I'm glad that you guys were able to do that this year.

Thanks for clearing that up Colton. I'd lose my sanity for sure if I was having another baby, especially twins!!

Ben and Caitlin did join us for Christmas. I also love the Blue Spruce but they don't have those here.

It looks like we need to start this tradition. It looks like you guys had fun especially with Kevin's victory dance.

So, I've been thinking about what to name this new baby and I remembered that you asked peoples advice when you were having Ethan so I looked back at your comments.

I think I talked myself into a name that I suggested to you that I completely forgot about. Go figure.
