HERE WE COME!!! We heard back earlier this month that Kevin has been accepted to the PA (Physician Assistant) Program through the Army. We've told the great news to our family but I guess it hasn't really made it much further. Although, Ryley has told everyone in primary and we've received a few phone calls making sure she wasn't bluffing.
It is a two year program, the first year we'll be in San Antonio and the second year will be somewhere else in the nation. They do their clinicals/ residency at an Army or Air force base in the second year and we won't know until a month or two before. We're hoping to end up in the DC area but it is the Army and you never know what will happen.
Kev starts school in early August so we are hoping to move sometime in July. We're sad to be leaving our home and friends but are also extremely happy for this new chapter in our lives. San Antonio is such a fun place and we welcome all who wish to visit! Oh and under no circumstances will we ever be rooting for the Spurs!

Well Jake would probably disown you if you rooted for the Spurs. I would love to come visit you there. Will have to see how long of a trip it is.
Hip Hip Hooray! I am so happy for you guys! I think it would be fun to move somewhere new. What great adventure you will have. I hope you can seel your house...Do you think you might try to rent it out?
Oh, go ahead and root for the Spurs, who even cares about baseball or whatever? Unless they are playing against the Cardinals, then you have to choose your home team.
Hope I didn't upset you when I outed you publicly on my blog last week. We're super excited for you all! Hopefully we can come and visit at some point if I can get Nate to stop being so stinkin jealous that we aren't living there.
And we will definitely have our fingers crossed for Washington DC!!!

I can't believe you are moving!!! I'm happy for you though. I've heard great things about San Antonio. I have a friend who lives there and LOVES it! We'll sure miss you though!
I am sooo happy for you. I know this is something exciting for you guys, not to mention a step in the right direction to achieving your goal. Hey guys, that is really great news! I have been meaning to tell you that my brother-in-law Mark Melin is there in the air force and will be moving over to Del Rio sometime later this year. His wife, Elena (my favorite SIL--shhhh) is from Cottonwood AZ (Elena Phelps). Fun little small world. i hope your time in San Antone will overlap! We stayed there for a weekend (Christmas 2002)when Jess and Mark were both doing pilot training at Del Rio--we went to the "big city" to explore, take the River Walk, the Alamo, the mall, etc. I really liked it (being a desert girl and all), but my MT inlaws were not impressed. That sounds like a grea adventure! Good luck!
