We were at the doctor’s office yet again, Ben has an ear infection, and the doctor had the results from Ryley's sleep study. I was ready for her to tell me that Ryley had breathing issues or her brain was over reactive, not allowing her to get into a deep sleep... something to give reason for this waking fiasco. The doctor was so kind to inform me that everything looked normal and that it concluded Ryley's sleep issues are completely behavioral. Apparently they also felt to mention this may be a behavior that is long-lived or hard to break.
Since Ben and her have been in the same room she has at least stop waking up in a screaming fit. I figured sleep is overrated anyways, right?

Boo! So what the heck can you do? You could ship her out here...Nate needs someone to keep him awake at nights so he can study.
Well isn't that lovely. I hope the habit breaks sooner than later for you guys!
I heard that Nyquil works pretty well. HAve you tried that?
I was talking to my mom about sleep the other day. I started to panic because as soon as our kids grow up to be teenagers, they are going to keep us up late as we sit and worry about them. Now my mom has insomnia. All of her kids except Ross are gone and living on our own and she can't sleep!!! UGH. I guess it is totally over rated.
Thankful that there is no medical issue. She was rushed into the world and now that she is here she refuses to miss one single blessed moment. She is so full of life and is intrested in everything around her. Be grateful. She is bright, healthy and as smart as a whip. We each haave our challenges and be thankful that this is the challenge Ryley has and not that of her little friend in your ward. Love you so much!
